Write for us
Urban Living Culture welcomes considered pitches about how people make, share, and experience city life. We are interested in focused ideas that start with a specific urban detail and open onto a broader question without claiming to speak for every place or resident.
What we welcome
Pitch essays and reported explainers about public space, city rhythms, home culture, urban customs, or creative life. A strong proposal has a distinct subject, a clear reason it matters to readers, and a useful shape: a comparison, a grounded explanation, a cultural reading, or a close look at a particular practice. We favour evergreen ideas that do not depend on unverified claims, professional advice, or local rules.
What to include
Send a concise outline through the Contact page. Explain the central question, the main points you would cover, the intended category, and any sources or permissions the piece would require. Please also say whether the idea has been offered elsewhere. A proposal is not a commission, and we will discuss scope and terms before any work is agreed.
A careful voice
We look for precise, readable writing that separates observation from conclusion and treats communities with care. Avoid broad claims based on a single example, promotional copy, and advice that would require a professional or an official source. Do not send confidential personal information or material you do not have permission to share.
Cities are made by how we live in them
Urban Living Culture looks beyond skylines to the shared habits, spaces, and choices that give city life its character.
